National Windscreens expanded its ‘innovating together’ program with a technical update event at Lincoln College, which focused on the evolution of autonomous vehicles. The event was run by the college’s automotive engineering team, in conjunction with the Institute of Motor Industry (IMI).
The program aims to provide insurers and fleets with insight to react to fast-changing vehicle technology. The event gave National Windscreens the opportunity to share its knowledge and expertise with industry leaders, local automotive business owners and representatives from the college and IMI.
“We were delighted to be invited to the technical update event at Lincoln College. Staying ahead of the curve within the automotive industry is something we’re continually focusing on at National Windscreens, so it was great to give other industry professions a vision into what’s coming, as well as gaining valuable insights ourselves,” said Alistair Carlton, technical manager at National Windscreens.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) was a focal in the technical training update. Alistair Carlton and Steve Husband of National Windscreens presented ADAS developments and highlighted its integration into glass.
National Windscreens has invested more than millions in ADAS equipment and training.
