Fuyao Glass America (FGA) issued a response to “American Factory,” a documentary released Wednesday on Netflix, that followed Fuyao, an automotive glass maker, as it opened a U.S. plant in Moraine, Ohio, at the site of the former GM plant.
The movie, highlighted clashing cultures between the Chinese and Americans and how it can affect a business, safety issues, as well as several testimonials and employee stories as they worked in the Ohio plant.
“We fully respect the filmmakers’ independence in documenting and interpreting what they had seen and heard. Our chairman’s open-mindedness has deeply influenced Fuyao’s corporate culture,” said Jeff Liu, FGA CEO. “We value different cultures and different ideas. This is how we see the world and how we wish to be seen by the world.”
