Your 2019 Auto Glass Week™ Winners are Announced

Auto Glass Week™ 2019 (AGW) is in the books, and we are excited to announce all the AGW winners. From the truck, competition and the sponsor booth tear-down winners, we have the complete list for you! Auto Glass Week took place September 4-6 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind.

The highly anticipated truck giveaway took place at the closing of the show on Friday, September 6, and Sherry Hagar of Good Guys Glass & Auto in Kirksville, Mo. took home a brand new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 WT.

Sponsors had a chance to win $300 if they were standing in their assembled booth at the close of the show at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6. The lucky winner was Brandon Davis of Sunroof Express in Troy, Mich. Congratulations Brandon!

Macenzie Curbow of Novus Glass in Kennewick, Wash. took home the gold medal for the Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Competition (AGTO). Curbow is a master tech with 8 years of experience, and holds the following certifications: AGRSS – Certified Tech, AGRSS – Master Tech and SRP Ahesive Certification. When asked what the main reason for competing was, Curbow said “to challenge myself to be a better auto glass technician.” He also took home the bronze medal in the Windshield Repair Competition.

The GlasWeld Windshield Repair Competition in Honor of Walt Gorman (WRO) first place winner is Alfredo Calva of Alfredo’s Auto Glass in Corona, Calif. Calva has more than 18 years of experience, and took home the silver WRO medal in 2017. He holds multiple certifications and has graduated from Auto Glass University and Auto Glass Academy.

Josh Bradley, owner of Clear Choice Auto Glass, earned the gold medal for the second year in a row in the Auto Glass Technician Calibration Competition sponsored by Opti-Aim™. Bradley started in the glass business at the age of 20 with a passion for cars. His company, Clear Choice Auto Glass, is constantly working on new cars and staying up-to-date with the latest tools and procedures required to perform the highest quality job possible.

The Auto Glass Customer Service Representative (CSR) Competition winner is Rose Williams of Mel’s Auto Glass in Crescent Springs, Ky. The CSR Competition is designed to recognize those who are the voice of the auto glass industry – the individuals who interact with customers on behalf of an organization and work hard to secure business for years to come. Williams is a two time winner holding the title in 2017 too.

Collin Walton of Don’s Mobile Glass in Merced, Calif. was awarded the Ingenuity Award for the invention of the “frog”, a unique wire-out tool. It is a smooth operating tool for easy, safe and damage free removal. Walton has 6 years of experience, and when asked why he chooses to compete, he said “I enjoy seeing people from all over the world install and it always teaches me something new.” Walton also won the silver medal in the Auto Glass Technician Competition this year.

Congratulations to all of the winners, and thank you to our sponsors, speakers, judges, competitors and attendees who made AGW 2019 such a successful event. Your time and contributions for this event helped AGW achieve its goal of bringing quality education and networking opportunities to the original equipment (OE) and aftermarket auto glass repair and replacement industries.
