ECO Stars Event
National Windscreens was recently awarded four stars in the Eco Stars Scheme in recognition of its commitment to making valuable contributions to sustainability. ECO Stars encourages companies to run fleets in the most efficient and green way. The aim is to reduce fuel consumption.
Members are awarded an ECO Star rating based on an assessment of their current operational and environmental performance. The assessment is based on six pillars which make up fleet operational efficiency. According to the company, measures that can be adopted include: fleet composition, fuel management, driver skills development, vehicle specification and preventative maintenance, IT support systems and performance monitoring and management.
