Additional Movement Seen in Ongoing AOB Fraud Lawsuit

Within the past few days there have been several advancements made in the Allstate versus defendants, Auto Glass America (AGA) and its owner Charles Isaly suit.

The motions include:

  • A request, made by the defendants, for a seven-day extension of the deadline to serve the expert report of G. Hartley Mellish, Ph.D. According to court documents, this request has been granted; the new deadline for the expert report is August 6, 2020.
  • A joint motion for remote mediation with an agreed upon mediator. The presiding judge granted this request, both parties may conduct their mediation, scheduled for August 18, 2020, beginning at 9:00 a.m., via the Zoom online platform, or by some other mutually agreeable remote means. The parties’ selection of Judge Stanford Blake was also approved.
  • The judge has ordered AGA to respond to Allstate’s motion to compel by August 10, 2020 by 5 p.m.
