Safelite Solutions recently announced it has terminated its strategic partnership with Westhill Inc., an Atlanta insurance technology company after seven months. Both companies had announced the new partnership in late January of this year.
“Over the past few months, it became evident that our business models do not align in a way that leverages the strengths and principles of Safelite,” said Tom Feeney, Safelite’s CEO and president in a brief statement announcing the move.
Feeney has also resigned from his Westhill board position.
Westhill developed a management system that connects the policyholder, service provider and claims professional through a common digital platform to expedite any needed repairs. It also promotes four areas of expertise with regard to insurance scheduling: real-time access, resource management, reputation systems and dynamic scheduling.
In January Feeney said the company’s partnership with Westhill would “help take its customer service to the next level and deliver on our purpose of bringing unexpected happiness to people’s everyday lives.” The partnership with Westhill was expected to change the way insurance carriers did business, reduce cycle time, and make the overall policyholder’s experience better.
