Reliable Glass, Phoenix, Ariz., announced its acquisition of Star Glass Company, Tucson, Ariz. Star Glass was founded in 1998, offers auto, residential and commercial glass services and serves the Tucson and Phoenix metro areas. Greg Tornga, president and owner of Reliable Glass, said the family-owned and operated business will prove a significant addition to the company’s four Phoenix-area locations, which currently provide auto, residential and commercial glass services.
“We are excited to expand our operations to Tucson with the acquisition of Star Glass,” Tornga said. “We are very fortunate to add such an amazing group of employees and look forward to welcoming them to the Reliable Glass Family.”
Ron Moore, president of Star Glass, said the transaction will expand Star’s customer base and services while providing greater opportunities for the company’s employees.
“Finding a purchaser with people-first core values was an important ingredient to making this happen,” Moore said. “My team has been super to work alongside. I leave knowing they will continue to provide ‘Service that Shines’ in the same manner we have built over the last 17 years.”
In a separate transaction, LRST, a management company led by Jerry Ray and Marc Talbert, has partnered with ARG professionals Jerry Ray, Jr. and Bryan Ray to acquire Star Glass’ Phoenix operation. The new Star Glass Phoenix will initially focus on growing its auto glass business, with plans to expand its service and product offerings throughout Maricopa County. LRST will help lead the expansion in Phoenix and pursue additional acquisitions and start-ups in other Southwest markets.
