Guardian Automotive, an auto glass solutions provider, has rebranded as Glavista. The transition follows nearly a year of planning and means the company—now independent from Guardian—moves forward with a new identity.
Glavista’s new name was revealed on September 23 during a special hybrid event at the Automotive Intelligence Center (AIC), a European value-generation center for the automotive sector. Online participants from Europe joined physical attendees. In addition to an address from Glavista’s CEO, Óscar Tejedor, former Formula 1 racing professional Mark Webber spoke on the importance of change.
The name alteration follows a series of strategic developments for the company. Guardian Automotive has been an independent company focusing solely on auto glass solutions since 2020. A new investor and financing in equipment at the company’s Center of Excellence in Llodio, Spain, has enabled laminated and tempered glass manufacturing. Glavista can now fulfill a wider range of orders for customers in the OE and aftermarket, according to the company.
The unveiling of the new brand marks the company’s next step in its journey. Its R&D teams continue to monitor the industry’s latest trends and technologies. Tejedor notes that “by consistently pushing the bar in this way, Guardian Automotive established itself as a key player in the automotive revolution. Now, as Glavista, we look forward to continuing on this journey full of interesting goals and challenges.”
