The Safelite Group announced Wednesday that Renee Cacchillo will be the auto glass group’s next president and CEO, effective Dec. 6, 2021.
Current CEO Tom Feeney will become executive chairperson of Belron North America.
Feeney will also assume his new role Dec. 6, 2021.
“Renee is the right person to serve as Safelite’s CEO at this pivotal moment,” Feeney says in a release provided by the company. “She brings a deep understanding of the company to this role, has plans for accelerating its pace of growth and holds an innovative vision for the company’s future.”
Cacchillo came to Safelite 10 years ago after serving as vice president, operations services, with Bob Evans Farms Inc. Prior to that position, she was with Limitedbrands for more than eight years, also serving as vice president.
Cacchillo has held roles with both Safelite AutoGlass and Safelite Solutions, and has led major areas including IT, marketing, digital and customer experience.
“I see and believe in Safelite’s future potential and am confident that we have the leadership, experience and skills needed to achieve the company’s goals for both growth and talent,” Cacchillo says. “We value our people, and together built a culture that exemplifies teamwork at its finest — with passionate associates dedicated to serving our valued customers and clients. I look forward to driving our company forward while staying true to our purpose and philosophies. It’s an honor to assume this role during a time of transformation and opportunity.”
Feeney, who has been with Safelite for 34 years, will now partner with Cacchillo as she transitions to president. Feeney will also retain responsibilities for community engagement and philanthropic activities for Safelite.
According to Safelite’s announcement, Safelite’s revenue doubled and doubled again under Feeney’s leadership, as the number of associates increased threefold to almost 16,000.
Cacchillo will represent Safelite alongside Feeney on Belron’s global leadership team.
“Renee has demonstrated that she has all the leadership and strategic skills to build on Safelite’s successful journey, and I look forward to working closely with her,” says Gary Lubner, CEO of Belron. “I would also like to thank Tom for his dedication, his passion and all he has done to build Safelite into the business it is today. I have no doubt that his expertise will be a strong contributing factor in further growing our businesses. I’m delighted to have two such exemplary leaders as part of our Belron team.”
