Ford Recalls Bronco Models for Faulty Moonroofs

Ford issued a fifth recall this year on the Bronco Sport. This time the recall is for faulty sunroofs.

Ford has had a heck of a time with the vehicle, starting with recalls in January on inadequate lube in the rear-drive unit. In February, the problem was suspension bolts. Incorrect lower control arms caused a third recall in March, and leaky fuel delivery modules in August.

The latest recall is under NHTSA number 21V809000, and involves Bronco Sports made between April 27 and May 25. The primer was not given enough time to cure before moonroofs were installed in these vehicles. Vehicle owners may find inadequate bonding between the moonroof frame and the body of the Bronco, which could cause the moonroof to detach.

The Mustang Mach-E recently experienced a similar recall, but it affected more vehicles than the Bronco’s latest recall. Ford estimates only 233 Broncos are affected by this fifth recall, according to autoblog.com. Ford says it is unaware of accidents or injuries resulting from this recall but has received four warranty claims.

I’ve seen many bad reviews on Bronco Sport 2021? If buying one, would all the inventory have already been fixed, resolved?
