Auto Windscreens Commits to Net-Zero Standard

Auto Windscreens joined the Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaign, the world’s largest and fastest growing group of companies aligning to help halve global emissions by 2030. According to a company statement, Auto Windscreens is committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and Net-Zero Standard, and also joined the UN-backed Race to Zero to rally leadership for a healthy, resilient, zero-carbon recovery. SBTi enables businesses to set ambitious reduction targets with climate science in mind and is focused on accelerating companies to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. “Auto Windscreens has made good strides over the last few years and is proud to be certified by BP as a carbon neutral business, recycling 100% of our waste glass, “ says Shaun Atton, business support director, in the company statement. “The next step for us is to develop science-based net-zero targets and submit them to be validated by the SBTi. Making this commitment is an important milestone and we will be sharing our progress with partners over the course of the next two years.”
