Pioneer in Automotive Industry Dies

Sheila Loftus, 79, former executive director of the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association and publisher of Hammer & Dolly magazine, died last week after a stroke. Loftus also co-founded the Women’s Industry Network (WIN) to enable other women to enter the automotive industry. In 1994, Loftus founded the CRASH Network, the first industry publication distributed monthly.
