Chrysler Capital Reveals Most Searched Vehicles

Want some insights into which car models may start rolling into your shop? Chrysler Capital did some research on the most popular searches that can help prepare you and your business for what’s hot right now.

Trucks are the top dogs in this year’s data.

At the top of the list for most searched vehicle type are trucks, SUVs and minivans with 19,800, 11,520 and 2,610 monthly searches respectively. On the opposite end, sedans, coupes, wagons and hatchbacks are not currently as popular with 170, 50, 20 and 20 monthly searches respectively.

How about electric vehicles? The Audi e-Tron sits at the top with 4,460 monthly searches. From there, the Chevrolet Bolt EV, Mercedes-Benz EQS and the BMW i4 received less buzz, with 1,380, 450 and 170 monthly searches respectively.

Get ready for a wave of Jeeps potentially coming through your shop. Chrysler Capital also released a list of the top 10 most searched for vehicles to lease and the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee are leading with 60,960 and 32,480 monthly searches respectively.

Next are the Honda Civic, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Explorer and Toyota RAV4 with 19,810, 16,230, 13,460 and 13,210 monthly searches respectively. Closing out the list are the BMW X5, Ford F-150, Mazda CX-5 and Nissan Rogue with 13,200, 10,940, 10,850 and 10,820 monthly searches respectively.

By following these trends in searches, you can gather a good idea of what to expect for your shop. Take advantage of this research to prepare yourself and your business for 2022.
