Autel and Repairify are “extremely excited” about a new agreement that will see the delivery of the latter’s Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) remote solutions for diagnostics, calibrations and programming through Autel’s remote-capable products in North America. Paul Marshall, senior product and operations manager at Autel North America, says the “perfect alignment” of the two companies will go a long way in shortening repair times for auto glass shops.

Marshall says that the new agreement allows Autel to pair the strength of its hardware and tool capabilities with Repairify’s offerings, “so we can access all of the OE-level services they offer the market.”
After approximately a year of working on the agreement, Repairify is set to integrate its global remote diagnostic, calibration, and programming solutions into a revised version of Autel’s Remote Expert platform. Launched in 2022, the platform provides onsite aftermarket scanning and access to remote OEM tools. The agreement will see the two companies jointly manage the platform, which will now offer customers the choice of using certified and warrantied OEM solutions from Repairify. Experts already serving the platform will also be available through the revision.
Remote Expert is available through the Autel MaxiSYS Ultra, Ultra EV, MS919, MS909, and MS909 EV diagnostics tablets. Additionally, Remote Expert has been expanded to Autel Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) calibration systems.
“In collision, including glass, there are moments when the Autel tools can only take you so far when you need to enter that OE realm,” Marshall tells glassBYTEs. “If you need to access specific services, you have to disconnect your tools and reconnect to a third-party service provider. We heard a lot from the marketplace that all of this shuffling of hardware adds to the repair cycle, making it that much harder.”
Marshall says that the new agreement allows Autel to pair the strength of its hardware and tool capabilities with Repairify’s offerings, “so we can access all of the OE-level services they offer the market.” Now, rather than having to shuffle hardware around, shops can access Repairify’s services straight from Autel’s tools.
“We’re very confident that our calibration systems are some of the best on the market when it comes to ease of use,” Marshall says. “If you use our ADAS targeting systems in connection with our tools, in connection with Repairify’s OE-level services, that alone pretty much locks up that job. It shortens that repair time, and you get that OE sign-off without moving hardware around.”
In a news release, Autel U.S. CEO Chloe Hung says the company is proud that its platform drew Repairify’s attention, noting that the agreement will be of “immense value” to customers. Cris Hollingsworth, president of Repairify Global Holdings, echoed that sentiment by saying his company is “honored” to enter into the partnership.
“We’re really great at what we do in our areas, but each has services that are a part of the repair cycle the other doesn’t,” Marshall says of Autel and Repairify. “It’s just the perfect alignment of two companies.”
