Mark Flasch, a familiar name among auto glass professionals with his more than 30 years of experience in the industry, passed away suddenly of natural causes at 63 on March 14, 2023, in Illinois.
Flasch’s tenure in the auto glass industry began in 1983 at Globe Amerada Glass Co. In 2005, he left his role as general manager at Globe to become general manager at Gerber National Claims Services. He held that title for 15 years, at which time Flasch was promoted to vice president of national account sales in 2020. Flasch left the auto glass industry in 2022, becoming director of operations for St. Peter Lutheran Church in Schaumburg, Ill.

“He will be deeply missed by his family and community,” his family writes in the obituary. “He will always be remembered as someone who dropped everything to help others, the life of every party, and the best husband and dad in the world.”
I have known Mark since 1987 and had the honor of working with him since 2005. He was a stand up guy and will be missed by his former co-workers @ the Boyd Group…..
