Safelite Group, owner of Safelite AutoGlass, has acquired the auto glass assets of New Angle Glass in the Boston area. The transaction was completed on Friday, May 19, 2023.
“As we continue to grow and reach even more customers, we’re proud to provide the quality services they expect from Safelite,” said Renee Cacchillo, Safelite Group president and CEO. “Our New Angle Glass team members will contribute to our future success, and we’re glad they are joining us.”
According to a news release, the combined businesses will work together to grow a “successful, caring business” offering vehicle glass repair, replacement and recalibration services to Massachusetts customers. According to the New Angle Glass website, the company has approximately 20 employees and two locations in the Massachusetts area along with mobile service. Of those 20 employees, approximately seven are listed as senior technicians.
New Angle Glass will leverage Safelite’s operational systems, safety system recalibration expertise, distribution network, global purchasing power, and insurance and commercial relationships.
This is Safelite’s second major acquisition of 2023 and follows the acquisition of the auto glass assets of Mark’s Mobile Glass in March.
