AirPro Diagnostics Debuts Mobile Recalibration Device in U.K.

AirPro Diagnostics has introduced its Auggie mobile static recalibration device in the U.K.

On Sept. 4, auto glass companies participated in a day of classroom training at Eyebox in Coventry, U.K., and then spent the remainder of the week in the field putting Auggie to the test.

My Car Glass technician Robert Webster reported a positive experience with the Auggie mobile recalibration device.

Manish Patel, director of My Car Glass based in Greenford, U.K., says his company will add Auggie mobile recalibrations to its services. He says he expects the device to “improve our customer and insurance partner, satisfaction as we can now perform the entire windscreen replacement and recalibration in the field.”

Robert Webster, a My Car Glass technician, adds, “The first three [recalibrations] we did with the Auggie went flawlessly. We recalibrated a Mercedes, Toyota and Kia all successfully and each took no more than 20 minutes to complete.”

AirPro Diagnostics, based in Jacksonville, Fla., says its new device renders ADAS targets and lighting conditions in a “theater-like environment” to perform forward-facing camera recalibrations.
