Minneapolis, Minn.-based ABRA Auto Body and Glass announced Friday its agreement
to acquire the assets of the Stillwater, Minn., office of Schoonover
Bodyworks and Glass.
"Schoonover's has a rich history of bodywork and glass in the Stillwater
area," says Duane Rouse, president and CEO of ABRA. "We are extremely
pleased to continue the legacy the family has built over three generations."
"We have been truly fortunate to have served vehicle owners in
the Stillwater community over the years," says Mike Schoonover,
owner of Schoonover's. "We know our Stillwater customers will be
in good hands with ABRA and receive the same personalized service
and top quality workmanship they have with us over the years."
According to a release issued Friday, the agreement serves as part
of ABRA's plans for expansion.
"Not only does this acquisition align with our growth strategy,
it reinforces ABRA's commitment to serve our customers and business
partners with a state-of-the-art repair center in the area," says
Rouse.
Schoonover's will maintain ownership of its Shoreview, Minn., location
as part of the agreement.
Mike Schoonover was unavailable for further comment at the time
of press.
"Both parties are excited about the acquisition and are looking
forward to serving our customers with the added location," says
Laurie Janu, director of national marketing for ABRA.
