Shops to Be Grouped into Validation Clusters Next Week
September 1, 2009
The Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards (AGRSS) Council Inc.
launches its much-anticipated third-party validation program today,
September 1, 2009. Next week, the independent auditing firm selected
by AGRSS, Orion Registrar Corp., will begin placing all AGRSS-registered
companies into clusters, according to AGRSS Council president Debra
Levy of glassBYTEs.com/AGRR magazine.
"From there, random clusters will be chosen over the next few
months," she says. "All shops in a cluster will be validated.
Companies that are selected will begin to be notified a few weeks
Levy says the validation reviews will take place throughout the
next 11 months, "so [registered shops] could hear at any time
that [they] have been selected."
"[Shops] will always have 30 days' notice before an onsite
validation review is scheduled," she adds.
The AGRSS Council recently conducted a test audit, and will conduct
a webinar to provide more information about the details of the validation
program on September 23 at 12 noon ET/ 9 a.m. PT.
The program has been in development for more than a year. (CLICK
