One Week Until Auto Glass Week™ 2012!

Auto Glass Week™ 2012 will kick off in one week with educational seminars and networking events. This year's show, which is being held in Louisville, Ky., will have three days of educational seminars, an expansive Exhibition/Extravaganza show floor and 105 contestants competing for the title of "World's Best" within their field.

The conference will start next Thursday at the Louisville Marriott Downtown with an opening session from our co-sponsoring associations' leaders and expert speaker Garrison Wynn. The educational sessions continue through Saturday and some of the speakers attendees will be able to hear are the Keynote, Captain Richard Phillips; 2011's top-rated speaker, Kelly McDonald; industry veterans and experts such as Bob Beranek of Auto Glass Consultants, Chris Umble of LYNX Services, Bill George of Pilkington, Ben Kelley of the Center for Auto Safety, Chuck Lloyd of Livgard and Lloyd, and an investigative reporter for CBS Sacramento, Kurtis Ming.
Auto Glass Week will also host the Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics and the Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics. The preliminary heats for the competitions will be held on Friday, September 21, and the finals will be held on Saturday, September 22.

"We are excited to have the industry in Louisville in just one week," says Ally Curran, event coordinator of Auto Glass Week. "We have a great line-up of seminars and speakers for attendees as well as a wide variety of industry companies to visit on the Exhibition/Extravaganza floor while watching some of our finest technicians compete in the competitions. There truly is something for everyone at this event."

Registration is still available on-site if you are interested in attending and have not already purchased a ticket to attend the event. The registration desk will open on Thursday, September 20, at 7 a.m. for attendees to pick up their badges or register on-site.

Auto Glass Week 2012 is being held at the Louisville Marriott Downtown and the Kentucky International Convention Center.

The International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ will be held concurrently and Auto Glass Week attendees are able to attend
their seminars and also have access to watch the International Window Film Tint-Off™ - Automotive and Architectural Division competitions.

Auto Glass Week is co-sponsored by the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (formerly the AGRSS® Council Inc.), Independent Glass Association (IGA), National Glass Association (NGA), the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA), along with AGRR™ magazine's Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics and Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics.
