Registration to Compete in AGTO and WRO Ends Friday

If you want to compete in the repair or replacement competitions at Auto Glass Week™ 2012, now is the time to register. Competition registration closes this Friday, July 27, 2012.

Both competitions, the Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics (WRO) and Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO), will be held September 21-22, 2012, at the Kentucky International Convention Center as a part of Auto Glass Week.

Registration is available online at autoglassweek.com/register or call the event management staff at 540/720-5584 and they will mail or fax you a registration form.

All registrations must be in by 11:59 p.m. on July 27, 2012. There will be no on-site registration to compete so be sure to register now. Space is limited and slots are given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Competition registration includes admission to all seminars, workshops, social events, one ticket to the Gala Awards Reception and Ceremony, and access to the Auto Glass Week Exhibition/Extravaganza where the competition will be held.

Members of the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA) get a discounted rate to compete in the Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics. Auto Glass Safety Council™ (formerly AGRSS)-Registered Company technicians, NGA-certified and/or IGA members receive a discounted rate to compete in the Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics.

Auto Glass Week will run September 20-22, in Louisville, Ky., at the Kentucky International Convention Center and the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

Auto Glass Week will bring together all of the major auto glass groups, including the Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council (AGRSS), Independent Glass Association (IGA), National Glass Association (NGA), and the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA), along with AGRR™ magazine's Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics and Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics. The International Window Film Tint-Off and Conference™ also will be held concurrently. The event is managed by AGRR magazine.
