Rules and Regulations and Score Sheet Now Available

The rules and regulations and score sheet for the Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO) and the Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics (WRO) are now available.
The competitions will be held September 21-22 as part of the Auto Glass Week™ Exhibition/Extravaganza. Auto Glass Week will run September 20-22, in Louisville, Ky., at the Kentucky International Convention Center and the Louisville Marriott Downtown.
Contestants and prospective contestants can download the rules and regulations and the annotated score sheet from the Contestant Resources on the Auto Glass Technician Olympics and the Windshield Repair Olympics pages of the Auto Glass Week website.
The first-place winner in this year’s AGTO will receive $10,000, a gold medal and trophy, as well as bragging rights as the “World’s Best Auto Glass Technician.” Second place will receive $1,000 as well as a silver medal, and third place will receive $500 and a bronze medal.
The first-place winner in the WRO will receive $10,000, a gold medal and trophy, as well as bragging rights as the “World’s Best Windshield Repair Technician.” Second place will receive $1,000 as well as a silver medal, and third place will receive $500 and a bronze medal.
In addition, the first-place winner’s company in each division will receive extensive media coverage; a press release sent on its behalf; use of the respective competition winner logo on stationery, business cards and advertising for one year; use of the 2012 respective competition logo for an unlimited time; and a congratulations ad and coverage of the victors and their companies will appear in AGRR™ magazine.
Anyone who wishes to compete in either competition must be employed currently as a technician in a bona fide operating auto glass company and have at least one year of experience as a technician in the auto glass industry.
The pre-registration deadline for contestants is Friday, July 27, 2012. Please note that there is a cap on the number of contestants and spaces are given on a first-come, first-served basis. No registrations will be accepted after July 27.
