Interested in competing in one of Auto Glass Week's fierce
competitions? If you are a bona fide repair or replacement technician,
showcase your talent and vie for the title of "World's Greatest"
at this year's event in Tampa, Fla.
Competition slots are limited, so be sure to register
to compete soon if you are interested. The registration deadline
to compete is Monday, July 8, 2013, and slots are on a first-come,
first-served basis.
Both the Auto
Glass Technician Olympics and the Windshield
Repair Olympics in honor of Walt Gorman will be held at the
Tampa Convention Center, located in the heart of the city and just
steps away from the host hotel, the Tampa
Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina.
Competitors from all over the world and various walks of life will
face off for the title of "World's Best Auto Glass Technician"
and "World's Best Windshield Repair Technician." Cash
prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists in each division,
totaling more than $20,000! First prize is $10,000.
Registered and prospective competitors may also view the official
competition rules and regulations now online.

and select the respective competition to view the rules and regulations.
This year's Auto Glass Week will encompass everything from educational
seminars and exhibits to networking opportunities, in addition
to the repair and replacement competitions and Gala Awards Ceremony
and Reception.
Pre-registration
for attendees is open at a discounted rate of $209 for Primary
Attendee and $179 for Employee/Spouse. Save up to $40 versus on-site
registration rates when you pre-register by August 30.
The Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina will be offering
Auto Glass Week guests a discounted room rate of $129 USD per night,
plus tax for a single room, double occupancy. Rates are available
on a first-come, first-served basis and include Internet access.

directly. Companies contacting you are not affiliated with the
event.
Auto glass technicians looking to develop their credentials may
also register for a separate educational
and testing course scheduled for Friday, September 20. Technicians
who would like to become an Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC)
Certified Auto Glass Technician can sign up for this one-day, fast-track
certification program to become even more established in the trade.

The International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off (IWFC)
will once again be co-located at the Tampa Convention Center, bringing
