Akron Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver
September 18, 2012
Akron police are searching for a hit-and-run driver involved in an accident that took place in the early morning hours of September 9 on East Market Street. After a week of searching, police are turning to the public for leads. The car has been described by witnesses as a dark-colored, four-door mid-sized car with darkly tinted windows. The vehicle will have severe front-end and windshield damage.
As 23-year-old Tera Miller attempted to cross the street Sunday morning, the car in question sped around another vehicle which had stopped in the road to allow Miller to pass, striking her. Miller suffered through a nearly week-long stay in the hospital to treat a concussion, bleeding in the brain, a fractured pelvis and a laceration to her kidney.
