Lubner Says Belron "Has Interest" in Purchasing Diamond

Gary Lubner, chief executive officer of the United Kingdom-based Belron, the largest auto glass company in the world, said his company is exploring the possible purchase of Diamond Glass in the United States.

"We do have some interest in looking at it," said Lubner, in an exclusive interview with glassbytes.com™/AGRR magazine last evening. "We haven't gotten any more information than anyone else at this point, but we will see whether or not we can move that forward."

"Combining our financial resources and capabilities with Diamond, there may be an opportunity to help the company's associates and enhance Belron US at the same time," he added.

Lubner said he expects to review the financial documentation being provided to prospective bidders and see, but, he adds, "We definitely have an interest in doing so."
