US Releases Senior Employees, Field Force Members and Sales Managers
Belron US (formerly Safelite Auto Glass) released a number of key employees
last week, including two senior staffers, several members of its field
force and several district sales managers, according to a source familiar
with the company. The two senior employees that have been released are
Rod Ghani, vice president of information technology, and Rahmat Taghvai,
who worked in the company's accounting/analysis departments and assisted
with the establishment of client pricing.
Belron US also told a number of employees that no bonuses will be offered
this year, due to "challenging circumstances" and "declining
revenues, according to the source, who wished to remain unnamed for fear
of reprisal.
Belron US spokesperson Jenny Cain declined to comment, but did cite the
pressures of the economic downturn.
"We do not comment on the specifics of internal human resources initiatives,"
she says. "Like all companies, we have been affected by this economic
downturn. However, it is part of our companys operating culture
to continually monitor our expenses in relation to our revenue and make
the necessary adjustments to ensure that we are a thriving organization
that meets its financial goals and generates profitable growth."
At press time, attempts to reach Ghani had been unsuccessful, and glassBYTEs.com/AGRR
magazine had not yet located a phone number for Taghvai at press time.
