US to Re-Locate Ten Warehouses into Larger Facilities; Six Identified
So Far
September 30, 2009
Belron US is re-locating a total of ten warehouses throughout the
United States into larger facilities in the coming months. Six have
been identified so far, in the following cities: Raleigh, N.C.;
Miami, Fla.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Taunton, Mass.; Salt Lake City, Utah;
and Tulsa, Okla., according to company spokesperson Jenny Cain.
The company has not yet released the locations of the other four
facilities that will be moved to larger locations.
The Tulsa facility, a 30,000-quare-foot facility, is scheduled
to open by January 2010, and will serve Tulsa and Sapulpa, Okla.,
Fort Smith and Springdale, Ark., and Joplin and Springfield, Mo.
The company is still determining what to do with the building that
currently houses its Tulsa distribution.
"We are relocating our current facility to this new location
and have not yet determined how we will use our current space,"
adds Cain.
The company recently opened a new distribution hub in Ontario,
Calif., to serve warehouses West of the Mississippi River, and just
last week, announced that it had agreed to purchase the retail and
claims administration divisions of IGD Industries (also known as
Iowa Glass).
