Belron Enters Russian Market with Seventeen
Locations Acquired from Mobiscar
November 5, 2010
Belron parent company D'Ieteren announced today that the international
auto glass repair and replacement chain has completed the acquisition
of 17 auto glass repair and replacement facilities in Russia. The
facilities previously were owned by Mobiscar LLC.
Mobiscar was founded in 1998, according to its website,
which now features Belron's Carglass logo, and provides a range
of auto glass services, including repair, replacement and also window
film installation. Mobiscar also has a distribution arm.
While the new Belron locations are spread across four different
cities, nine of them are in Moscow, according to the D'Ieteren statement.
This acquisition brings the total number of countries in which Belron
operates to 34.
Belron previously had announced in August that it had initiated
operations in Russia as part of D'Ieteren's financial report
for the first half of 2010, but had not released details of the
acquisition at that time.
