Boyd Group Acquires Collision Repair Center in Illinois

The Boyd Group Inc., which owns Gerber Collision & Glass, has acquired M&D Auto Body in Evanston, Ill, and has re-opened under the Gerber name. The facility is approximately 8,000 square feet, with nearly 7,500 square feet of production space, according to a statement from the company. This is its 23rd Illinois location.

"Our latest acquisition is consistent with our strategy of expanding into select markets and growing our network of repair centers across North America," says Tim O'Day, president and chief operating officer of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "Our newest location in Evanston will complement our existing network in Illinois and, in particular, Cook County, the second most populous county in all of the U.S."
