Six New DOT Numbers Awarded for Auto Glass

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) recently has awarded six new DOT numbers to auto glass manufacturers, four of which have been based in China, one in Japan and one in the United States.

DOT No. 980 was awarded to Changzhou Jili Glass Co. Ltd. in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China.

DOT No. 981 went to Liaocheng City Development Zone Youjiaglass Co. Ltd. in Liaocheng, Shandong, China. The company was founded in 1993 and makes both tempered and laminated parts, according to information from an online listing of Chinese glass manufacturers.

Daikyo Nishikawa Corp. Miiri Plant received DOT No. 982. Based in Hiroshima-Ken, Japan, the company was founded in 2007 through a merger of GP Daikyo Corp., Nishikawa Kasei Co. Ltd. and DaikyoNishikawa Corp. The company makes a variety of automotive parts, according to its website.

DOT No. 983 was awarded to Multifab in Dorchester, Mass., which has been in business since 1987. According to the company's website, it specializes in fabricated plastic parts and also manufactures boat windshields.

Zhengzhou Fuyao Glass Co. Ltd. in Zhengzhou, Henan, China, received DOT No. 984. Zhengzhou Fuyao Glass Co. Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuyao Glass Industry Group, formed in April, according to reports from Reuters.

DOT No. 985 has been awarded to Zhengzhou Jinan Glass Industry Technology Co. in Xingyang, Henan, China.
