The Dwyer Group Announces $125,000 National Commitment to Ronald
McDonald House Charities Across Five Franchise Brands
March 18, 2010
Five franchise service brands with The Dwyer Group, including the
Glass Doctor, have joined together to support the Ronald McDonald
House Charities with a national commitment of $125,000.
"Our franchise brands know what it means to be of service so
that customers can have peace of mind and focus on more important
things," says Dina Dwyer-Owens, CEO and chairwoman of The Dwyer
Group. "That is why supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities
is a perfect fit to extend that message in another meaningful way."
Ronald McDonald House Charities was established in 1984 in memory
of McDonald's founder and franchise icon Ray Kroc. The program includes
a network of homes that offer rooms for families of pediatric patients
under 21 years old. The houses are located around the world and
are funded by community support, offering families a way to stay
close to the hospital where their child is being treated.
In addition to the national commitment, Dwyer Group officials say
that franchisees will look for ways to get involved on a local level
with the Ronald McDonald House in their own communities.
