May 15, 2013

Equalizer, in association with Automotive Glass Consultants has announced the formation of Auto Glass University (AGU), powered by Equalizer.

Located in Equalizer's corporate headquarters in Round Rock, Texas, AGU is designed to provide unbiased, up-to-date information and training to the auto glass industry in an affordable and hands-on, instructor-driven context, according to company officials.

Courses will consist of modules that are comprehensive, concise and pertinent to the duties of the auto glass professional. The classes will focus on technical training, management, customer service and safety.

AGU also will offer certification testing for technicians to achieve both the Auto Glass Technician and Master Technician certifications offered by the Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC). AGU is specifically designed to teach the criteria of the AGSC/AGRSS Replacement Standard.

"Our goal is to be the complete university for auto glass entrepreneurs and their employees. Each individual who takes our courses will have access to the latest information and knowledge necessary to do their job in the best way possible," according to AGU.

"Working with Equalizer to create an environment for all technicians, utilizing all the tools possible at their disposal, made perfect sense," he adds.

"When we approached Bob about combining forces to create a training center that focused on the current needs of technicians and trends in the auto glass industry, we realized right away that we shared the same ideas and principles about the current state of the industry and what is needed to keep technicians, owners and anyone interested in a career in the auto glass industry as informed and empowered as possible." says Eric Asbery, president of Equalizer. "We are proud to provide the facility and trainers to help create the best possible experience for auto glass industry professionals throughout the world."
