Global
Warming Bill Meets End in Senate, AP Reports
A global warming bill that would have required major reduction
in greenhouse gases was pulled from consideration by Democratic
Majority Leader Harry Reid, according to reports from the Associated
Press (AP). The bill was pulled after Democratic leaders fell
short 12 votes to end a Republican filibuster on the legislation.
Opponents of the bill said it would have lead to higher energy
costs, the AP reports.
