Horvath Retires from PPG; Kirby Appointed Customer Service Manager

William F. Horvath, manager of customer service and e-business for PPG automotive replacement glass, recently retired after 31 years with the company. Bryan Kirby has been promoted to manager of customer service upon Horvath's retirement.

Horvath joined PPG in 1977 and spent his entire career in auto glass distribution. Starting as a tax accountant, he was appointed programmer in 1980 and senior programmer in 1981. In 1984, he became supervisor of general accounting and was named manager of ARG branch distribution services in 1990. In 1996, he joined the ARG truckload business segment as manager, customer service and was appointed to his current position in 2002.

Kirby joined PPG in 1998 as a chemical engineer for the chlor-alkalai & derivatives business in Natrium, W.Va. He held various engineering positions in the business before being named design engineer in 2002 for the group. In 2003, he moved to the automotive replacement glass business as a business analyst. In 2005, he was promoted to senior business analyst and was named business services coordinator in 2007.
