Insurance Company Holds Drive-Through Claim Center in Aftermath of Hail Storms
July 22, 2010

After recent hail storms damaged cars in Bozeman, Montana residents were left with a mess to clean up and a hassle trying to get things taken care of. To ease the burden State Farm opened up a drive-through claim center to assist the mass amount of customers and damages.

Daniel Losk, Pacific Northwest Zone Public Affairs Specialist for State Farm says, “We are doing approximately 200 estimates a day at that location. We are still taking in claims in for the hail storm of June, 30, 2010 on a daily basis. At this time we have received about 6600 claims and approximately 4200 of these are autos.”

The drive-through claim center is located on West Main in Bozeman and will be open as long as the need continues.

“State Farm has claims representatives scheduling inspection times for customers with damages to autos and to homes as quickly as possible,” says Losk. “We are not turning any insured away that drive-in without an appointment, but for the quickest service time it is more advantageous to wait for a scheduled appointment.”

After customers visit the drive-through and damages are assessed a check based on the estimation is produced so that the customer may then contract repairs on their own.

Losk adds, “No repairs are being done on-site.”
