Glass America recently made a donation to the American Red Cross
Disaster Relief Fund on May 25 in response to the recent tornadoes
that have struck many areas of the United States.
“Many homes and vehicles were damaged and destroyed as the
violent twisters wreaked havoc on entire communities and claimed
hundreds of lives,” says Brandon Cottles, a regional manager
at Glass America. “Glass America is contributing to the clean-up
efforts, while pledging to go above and beyond for those who require
auto glass repairs and replacement caused by the tornadoes. We want
to help residents and drivers to get back on their feet again.”
Glass America has seen an uptick in business at its locations in
Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, where the company operates as Auto
Glass Service, and company officials say they expect the influx
to last at least another month. To accommodate customers, Glass
America employees are working overtime to provide services during
this difficult time.
“We didn’t have power for six days at our some of our
locations,” says Cottles, “We installed generators so
we could keep the service centers open and be available for customers
who needed auto glass repairs and replacements. The roads were cleared
pretty quickly, so our installers are able to provide mobile services
which are helpful for people who are trying to get their lives back
on track again.”
