Lots on the Agenda for Auto Glass Week
2013
June 21, 2013
Auto Glass Week 2013 is a must-see event, offering its attendees
front row seats to the auto glass repair and replacement competitions,
inspiring keynote speakers, educational
seminars, and an Exhibition/Extravaganza featuring "top
suppliers," according to past attendees. It is a great time
to visit and meet with colleagues and mingle with industry partners
during numerous events to socialize and network including cocktail
parties, silent auctions and much more!
"If you wish to be the leader of auto glass in your market,
you need to attend Auto Glass Week. Be informed and get educated,"
said Gerald "Dr. Chip" Zwart, president of Clearview Windshields,
located in Inwood, Iowa. Zwart ensures that Auto Glass Week is always
on his annual calendar. "I would say the seminars and visiting
with my many friends I have made through the years is one of the
top attractions," he adds.
Auto Glass Week will be held September 18-20 at the Tampa Convention
Center in Tampa, Fla. Our host hotel, the Tampa
Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina, is offering Auto Glass
Week attendees discounted room rates available on a first-come,
first-served basis. The attendee rate is $129 USD per night plus
tax, for a single room, double occupancy and the room
block is open to make reservations. The rate includes complimentary
internet access. You must reference the Tampa Marriott Waterside
Hotel and Marina and code AGWF13 to access the discounted room block
ending August 27, 2013, if you reserve by phone, 888/789-3090.
"I'm a wholesaler primarily and I'm going to meet up with
a lot of the representatives I work with from other companies that
I buy from," said Jon Anderson, of Dakotaland Autoglass in
Sioux Falls, South Dakota. "It's a good chance to meet all
of my suppliers at one place and one time."
The event will feature special appearances by World Trade Center
Survivor FDNY Chief Richard Picciotto, and famed NASCAR driver Greg
Biffle, as well as AGRR magazine's NordGlass
Auto Glass Technician Olympics and the GlasWeld
Windshield Repair Olympics in Honor of Walt Gorman.
Auto glass technicians looking to develop their credentials may
also register for a separate educational and testing course scheduled
for Friday, September 20. Technicians who would like to become an
Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) Certified Auto Glass Technician
can sign up for this one-day,
fast-track certification program to become even more established
in the trade. To register for this course, click here.
Interested Auto Glass Week attendees can register online
for a pre-registration discounted price of $209, saving $40 versus
registering on-site. This registration includes access to all seminars,
workshops, social events and admittance to the Auto Glass Week Exhibition/Extravaganza
and the concurrent event, International
