Auto Glass Week™ 2011 Location Safe From Flooding
May 25, 2011
After recent news surrounding the Mississippi River cresting and causing flooding along its shorelines, event management checked in on the facility of the upcoming event to ensure the staff and venue was still safe and secure. Luckily, the venue and people of the city of Memphis are in overall great shape.
“All hotels, restaurants and attractions are open with absolutely no threat of being impacted by the Mississippi River which for the most part borders parkland in Downtown Memphis,” said Kevin Kane, president and CEO of the Memphis Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
That location on a bluff 30 feet higher than the crest, meant that the hotel, convention center and surrounding businesses are fine and looking forward to welcoming all Auto Glass Week™ attendees.
Be sure to take advantage of the early-bird deadline for pre-registration and save. The discount ends June 15, 2011.
The Memphis Marriott Downtown has a discount room rate of $99 per night, plus tax in place for Auto Glass Week attendees, but you must reserve your room before August 25. Be sure to book early to ensure you stay in the official hotel.
