NACE to Move to Orlando This Year
January 6, 2011
The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced that this year its annual Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW), which includes NACE, will move to Orlando, Fla., for the 2011 event. This will be the beginning of a rotating pattern for the event, which has been held in Las Vegas for several years, and it will now rotate through the East, West and Midwest from year to year, according to ASA.
The 2011 ASRW will be held October 6-8 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.—which also takes the show back to a Thursday-Saturday schedule.
ASA president Ron Pyle had indicated the group would be investigating a move during the closing of last year’s event, and after soliciting feedback and opinions of the industry, this decision was made, according to a statement issued by the group.
“The surveys elicited much more of a response than we were expecting and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to respond,” says Pyle. “We spent weeks pouring through all the feedback we received from the surveys to grasp what the industry wanted from this show - starting with the location, days of the week, and time of the year.”
The location for 2012 is to be determined.
Registration for attendees and exhibitors will open in early summer. Visit www.ASRWevents.com for more information.
