 
Winter NAGS Calculator Released; 17 of Top 20 Most Popular Part Prices Up from January 2010

The Winter 2011 National Auto Glass Specifications International (NAGS) Benchmark Calculator goes into effect today, January 10. glassBYTEs.com™/AGRR magazine analyzed the top 20 most popular part numbers (as reported by NAGS) and found that 17 of 20 have risen in price since the January 2010 calculator. Likewise, only three of the 20 have dropped in price since last winter’s release.
One part—the DW01257GBYN—saw an increase of 8.1 percent for its benchmark price, at $277.50, up from $256.50 last year. Likewise, the part is up 1.5 percent from the September 2010 calculator—which listed the DW01257GBYN at $273.40.
Among price decreases in the top 20 most popular parts, the most notable was a 4.8 percent drop in the benchmark price for the DW01265GNN from the January 2010 calculator; last January, the part was listed at $247.65, and this January is listed at $235.80. The part price is down 4.7 percent since the September NAGS release, in which it was listed at $247.55.
