PPG Announces Price Increase on Glass

PPG Auto Glass has notified its customers that it will be implementing a 4-percent price increase on windshields and a 7-percent price increase on tempered parts, effective July 19, 2007.

The e-mail sent notifying customers of the increase goes on to say, "Thank you for your support. PPG Auto Glass appreciates your understanding and will continue to implement process improvements to offset rising product and operating costs without compromising service or quality."

Representatives from PPG were unavailable for comment on the price increase today.
