Pilkington to Once Again be Charter Sponsor for Auto Glass Week™
February 9, 2012
Pilkington has once again agreed to be the Charter Sponsor for Auto Glass Week™ 2012 scheduled to be held in Louisville, Ky., September 20-22.
“Pilkington NSG is extremely excited to be part of Auto Glass Week 2012. The past few years our industry has seen its fair share of challenges, but we believe a lot of opportunities are virtually untapped and 2012 will be a year of growth and opportunity driven by innovation and a greater understanding of our consumer and how to better communicate the product benefits to those consumers,” says Bill George, director of marketing for Pilkington North America.
“Pilkington was a major part of Auto Glass Week 2011 and we are very excited that they will be joining us again this year,” says event coordinator Ally Curran. “Their continued support and commitment make an event like this possible and we’re so thankful to have them join our efforts once again toward bettering the auto glass industry.”
Auto Glass Week 2012 will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center and the Louisville Marriott Downtown. The Exhibition/Extravaganza will be held September 21-22.
Pilkington Clear Advantage™, a product-and service-oriented brand for itself and its retail partners, is a demonstration of Pilkington’s dedication to the industry and OEM quality parts.
Auto Glass Week again will bring together all of the major auto glass groups, including the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (Formerly AGRSS® Council Inc.), Independent Glass Association (IGA), National Glass Association (NGA), and the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA), along with AGRR™ magazine’s Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass Technician Olympics and Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics. The International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ also will be held concurrently. The event is managed by AGRR magazine.
