Rumors of Allstate Moving Glass Claims to Safelite Unsubstantiated

Despite rumors circulating throughout the country that Allstate is moving its glass-claims administration contract from LYNX Services to Safelite Solutions, Safelite president and chief executive officer Tom Feeney says this is not the case at this time.

"I don't know where the industry is getting this rumor from, but it's not true," says Feeney. "It is emphatically not true. We work hard to service all our policyholders and we continue to service Allstate policyholders with the same great service as everyone else, but there is no truth to this report."

Auto glass business owners across the Northeast have reported that they've been hearing of a purported move.

"That's 50 percent of our business," said one concerned Northeast shop owner.

Allstate representatives declined to comment. "We don't discuss rumors and speculation," says Allstate spokesperson Mike Siemienas. Chris Umble, vice president of vice president of strategic initiatives for LYNX, which currently administers Allstate's glass claims, also declined to comment.
