Safelite Re-Ups Television Ad Campaign
March 11, 2010
Safelite Auto Glass has re-launched its television ad campaign.
The company had run a two-week campaign in October promoting windshield
repair throughout the United States, but had noted at that time
it would decide whether to continue after evaluating the results.
Though Safelite spokesperson Jenny Cain confirmed the television
ad campaign "is continuing into 2010," she could not provide
further details. The ads are running on TBS and NBC, among other
stations. (The October campaign ran on CBS, NBC, TNT, TBS and USA.)
The ad, which is the same as the one that ran in October, features
Safelite technician Erik Schumacher of Des Moines, Iowa, and depicts
Schumacher driving a vehicle with a tiny chip; as he describes the
chip, and says it's made up of "a thousand microcracks,"
he hits a speed bump on the road and the chip becomes a longer crack.
The ad parallels those that Safelite parent company Belron is running
around the world.
