Safelite® Group Adds Assistant VP

The Safelite Group has hired Carrie Maun-Smith to fill the role of assistant vice president of operational excellence. In this role, she will be responsible for streamlining business processes and implementing performance measurement and management systems that "improve operational excellence," according to a statement from the company.

A former Safelite director of internal audit and quality assurance, Maun-Smith rejoins the company from Wendy's International. After serving as manager of engineering strategic projects and planning, and working in internal auditing for two years, she was promoted to director of strategic initiatives and planning. Prior to joining Safelite in 1997, Maun-Smith was director of accounting for Doctor's Hospital and an accounting supervisor for Symix Systems.

She possesses a deep knowledge of reporting and analysis that will translate to actionable opportunities for improvements in operational excellence," says Brian O'Mara, vice president of contact center operations. "We look forward to the great contributions she and her team will make."

Maun-Smith earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. She started her career with Deloitte & Touche LLP in Columbus, Ohio, where she obtained her CPA. She also holds a master's degree in business administration from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
