May 14, 2010
Safelite AutoGlass has been named a finalist in the customer service
department of the year category in The 2010 American Business Awards.
According to a release from the company, its executive services
department achieved consistently high average scores during more
than five weeks of preliminary judging and will be awarded a certificate
of finalist recognition along with five other companies in the same
category.
"We are thrilled to be a finalist in the 2010 American Business
Awards," says Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Safelite. "Our
executive services department works extremely hard to support our
goal of 100 percent customer delight, and their contributions are
a strong component to the success of our company. This is a stellar
achievement and I'd like to congratulate each member of the team."
This year's Stevie Award winners will be announced during the annual
gala on Monday, June 21, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York
City.
In addition, Safelite has announced that more than 230 of its employees
will be participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in
Columbus, Ohio, on May 15. As a gold-level sponsor, the Safelite
Charitable Foundation donated $25,000 to the cause.
In addition to the corporate donation, Safelite employees have
raised additional funds through events such as a bake sale, 50/50
raffle and pre-race tailgate party taking place on May 14. These
events, which created awareness for the cause, raised $1,755. Combined
with the funds raised by race participants and friends and family,
this brings the total of Team Safelite's donation to $5,285.
