Safelite Begins Operating on Sundays in Detroit and Ohio Valley Markets

May 17, 2010

Safelite has begun operating on Sundays in the Detroit and Ohio Valley Markets, according to a company associate based in the area. The Sunday operating hours will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Company spokesperson Jenny Cain says the decision to open on Sunday is one made in each individual area.

"Our local markets control their operating hours, which is based on customer demand," Cain says.

She declined to comment on whether or not this might be occurring in other markets.

Last June, the company had talked about making such a move to Sunday hours, but at that time had not yet done so. (CLICK HERE for related story.)
