SafeliteŽ Employees Contribute to First-Ever National Giving Campaign

Safelite AutoGlass held its first-ever National Giving Campaign between November 8-19, raising funds for charities around the country. While the corporate office in Columbus, Ohio, has celebrated an annual charitable giving week for many years, company officials say this is the first year employees from all areas of the business had a chance to raise funds for the charities of their choosing.

During National Giving Week, employees in the Columbus office also raised funds for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, totaling more than 750 turkeys to provide for local families in need during this Thanksgiving season.

“This campaign marks the beginning of a new way of giving for our company. It is one that expands our reach to local communities across the country and provides our associates with more choices with how they can give,” says Safelite president and CEO Tom Feeney. “We hope to provide a new outlook for those less fortunate in the communities where we live and work.”

Company employees raised funds in a variety of ways, including a food-eating contest, a bake sale, root beer float sale and some raffles (for prizes including airline tickets, a chance to be an extra in the company’s ads, a flower bouquet and more).
