Safelite Wins Stevie®
Award for "Best Use of Technology in Customer Service"
February 23, 2011
Safelite AutoGlass was presented with a Stevie Award in the “Best Use of Technology in Customer Service” category at the fifth annual Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service this week.
Safelite officials say that the award came as a result of its electronic system for confirming appointments, and that once a mobile appointment is scheduled, the company requests an e-mail address to send the customer an e-mail containing the name, picture and background information of the technician who will be sent to complete the work on their vehicle. The e-mail also contains other pertinent information such as appointment time, claim number, vehicle information and insurance claim data, according to the company.
“We are extremely proud that our Safelite AutoGlass mobile technician technology has been recognized with a Stevie Award,” says Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Safelite AutoGlass. “I congratulate our IT team members who have made this possible through their extreme attention to customer delight.”
The Stevie Awards are based in Fairfax, Va., and organize several contests each year, including the American Business Awards, International Business Awards, and the Stevie Awards for Women in Business (in addition to the sales and customer service awards, given annually).
