Safelite AutoGlass® to Utilize New Program
for Employee Communications about Benefits
October 6, 2011
Safelite AutoGlass has selected a program called Benefitfocus to
utilize for communicating with employees about their benefits, according
to a press release from the Charleston, S.C.-based provider of healthcare
benefits software.
The company will utilize both the Benefitfocus Video Library and
custom video functions provided by Benefitfocus. Information will
be accessible on technicians' mobile phones, and videos will explain
different parts of the company's benefits package.
"Our employees are typically on the road serving our customers,
so they don't always have time to attend an open enrollment meeting
or sit at a desk and read through the summary plan description,"
says Donna Gibson, compensation and benefits senior manager for
Safelite. "Benefitfocus solved that problem for us with video.
Now we can easily provide top-quality education without a huge time
or technology investment."
Safelite's video campaign launched on September 7 and continues
until its open enrollment program for benefits opens in November.
Video topics include health savings accounts, medical plans, life
and disability coverage and wellness offerings
